Descriptions for each level are below.
Tot Hockey
The Hockey Skating curriculum, endorsed by USA Hockey, is structured to provide skaters with a strong foundation of skills that are essential for success in the game of hockey.
Throughout the program's four badge levels, skaters learn to develop the fundamental hockey stance, stride, knee bend, and other critical techniques to achieve success on the ice.
Future Chargers Pre-Hockey
Future Chargers is a Learn to Play Hockey program that introduces children to the game in a fun, supportive environment. Players develop skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting skills, while building confidence and making new friends.
Snowplow Sam
Snowplow Sam offers a safe and enjoyable introduction to ice skating for children aged five and younger through its four levels.
Designed to spark the joy of skating in young children, the program provides a supportive environment that helps children build a strong foundation in skating skills. Whether your child is a first-time skater or has some experience, a Snowplow Sam class is the perfect way to introduce them to the fun and excitement of ice skating.
Basic Skills
Free Skate
Aspire Program
This six-level progressive curriculum helps skaters form a strong foundation. This program provides skaters with the essential foundation to pursue various skating disciplines, including figure skating, and hockey. The Basic Skills is designed for skaters over the age of 6 through 18.
Helmet is required for Basic 1 class.
The Free Skate program consists of three distinct skill sets: skating skills, spins, and jumps. The program offers a comprehensive training curriculum that challenges skaters to master new skills while also refining their existing ones.
This curriculum marks the beginning of a skater's exciting transition into the world of competitive or recreational figure skating, with endless possibilities for growth and achievement.
Aspire is the bridge from Learn to Skate USA into U.S. Figure Skating — where skaters of all ages take their first steps into the world of figure skating. In a fun, supportive group environment, skaters develop proper technique, learn all single jumps and basic spin positions, and prepare for their first test: Pre-Preliminary Skating Skills.
